Design Evolution
There is so much out there to be inspired by. Sometimes life feels like it hits a heavy wall—but in those moments, it helps to reconnect with the quiet perfection of the natural world we live in.
Take this moment I shared with this beautiful stingray. This photo was taken from below… but what do you really see?
Despite having its eyes on top, evolution has given it two markings underneath—right where its mouth is—that look like a pair of intimidating eyes. It creates the illusion that it’s staring straight at you, even though its real gaze is above, focused on navigating… or simply enjoying the view.
Up close with a Pacific stingray. It may look mean, but like many of us, it’s just out here looking for food—and a little play.
And that design… it makes you think.
Technology has its own language. We have to rewire our brains to understand it, to code, to communicate with it. But nature? Nature is intuitive. It’s been evolving long before us, shaping systems that just work.
We are not a byproduct of technology—at least not yet.
So for now, the answers we’re looking for—health, survival, play, and maybe most importantly, happiness—are still rooted in the natural world around us.
Grateful for moments like this. Excited to see what more this earthly heaven has to teach me.
