The Paradox

Having been involved in a green-based solutions company for the past few months, well, it’s been curious to be doing green-based work out of a city office! It might seem contradictory. Now, the curious finding is that each environment has its strengths. Half the work was office-based, and the other half field-based.

It’s been fun and enriching to see how a lot of the most potent decisions and calls to action were so well identified, designed, and executed in a matter of days. Initiatives to protect huge pieces of land and title them for the indigenous communities — initiatives that had been stagnant for years — get resolved in minimal time with the right team and intentions.

So, on one end, can we say that having a centralized organization acts like nitroglycerin to free a decentralized environment? The paradox! What I keep finding in life is that there’s one extreme, and then there’s the other extreme — and when you put a mark in the middle, that’s where you find balance.

Not by destroying one environment or the other, but by finding ways to make them both sustainable and in harmony, we can create a cleaner and greener planet for all. This is where the magic happens!

To all the innovations and initiatives the last few decades have led to — it’s amazing. Let’s keep it going!
